The achievements made in this project include: 1) The latest information of the Stockholm Convention and international control strategies on perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), dechlorane plus (DP), methoxychlor, perfluorooctanoic acid, perfluorooctane sulfonic acid, hexachlorobutadiene, were collected, and recommendations for control strategies were proposed to related administrative agencies in Taiwan. We have accomplished the National Report of POPs management in 2019 and to revise the “National Implementation Plan of the Republic of China (R.O.C., Taiwan) under the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants” (NIP). 2) For the effectiveness evaluation of the Minamata Convention on Mercury and the management of mercury-containing waste, the project also proposed the references and directions for future efforts in Taiwan refer to the implementation of other countries. Through the inter-ministerial meeting, we completed the establishment of management measures for mercury-containing products, as well as to help to renew the National Report of Mercury management achievement in 2019. 3) The latest information on the Rotterdam Convention and management strategies adopted by other countries was collected, and the project proposed an assessment of the practices and feasibility, as well as planning the structure of the information website. 4) The latest information on lists of highly concerned substance and management strategies for endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) from other countries was collected. The 2019 report of EDCs had been renewed. 5) The project also renewed the content of the websites, optimized a reporting and management information system for cross-departmental implementation accomplishment and planned a prototype system for demonstration of effectiveness.
